The Nexus One was never sold officially by AT&T with a service plan. It was only available direct from Google. You can still find the Nexus One on Ebay, but you need to make sure that you are getting the AT&T 850/1900 GSM band version.

Yes, Android 2.2 allows applications to be moved/installed on the SD. Some apps will install automatically when you download them, while others you manually have to move under Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications.

HTC was obligated to release this kernel source code under Open Source licensing because the Froyo 2.2 update for the HTC Aria has been available for non-branded Arias worldwide since December, so it essentially it took HTC 2 months to release the source code. Now whether that means that AT&T is finally going to release the Froyo update is still to be determined.

My current prediction is that since the HTC Inspire will be introduced on the Sunday the 13th and AT&T will introduce the Wifi Hotspot tethering plans, the Aria Froyo 2.2 update will also be released this week complete with Wifi Hotspot functionality, too. Why else would they wait to release an update that has been shipping to the rest of the world for months?
