I presume that you have gone to gmail on your pc, then gone to (cogwheel) settings>settings>forwarding and POP/IMAP, then clicked on "configure your email client," ...at the bottom of the page.

I haven't used Outlook Express or Outlook in quite a while. I do know that with the Android system, that if the email accounts are set up as IMAP, you can look at an email (not opened), select 'move to folder,' click on it, then select the folder you want to move it to. That way, it is no longer on your device, but resides in the selected folder on your desktop/laptop acc...

You might consider logging onto your Gmail account from your desktop/laptop. Click on the 'gear' to the right of your account name, then click on mail settings. Then click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP. If you are set up as IMAP, look under the IMAP Access category, to see if things are configured the way you wish. If you're set up as POP, look under the POP download categor...

In the future, you might consider using a program such as SMS Backup & Restore. You can save all your text messages to your SD card, PC, etc., and restore at your convenience. Also, if your text messages were 'threaded,' you might request those who texted you, to respond to a previous thread. Thus, you might see the entire thread from the start.

What are your devices, and are they smartphones? You say you don't have a USB port yet? How do you add one to a phone? Do you have SD storage cards or slots? If so, you can easily transfer pictures to the card, and place in the phone. If you supply a little more clear detail, some one else might be able to shed more light.

Also, using white pages and reverse number lookup, you can get some information about the number, including whether it is a cell number, and if a line land, where it is located. For a fee, you can probably get the name the number's registered to. I provide this possibility, since I presume that you and your GF are working together, to find out the name?

I DID NOT click on any of the links...or go there either, BUT some describe $9.99/mo 5msg/mo 4 Lotto txts. Stop to cancel Msg&data That was enough information to " enlighten me ," to know better than never to have clicked on the original messages to begin with. That might have been what happened inadvertently, by the original poster, IF he visited certain webpages.

Not directly related to your situation, BUT the Captivate Glide aleady came with Gingerbread. Then there was an updated Gingerbread (Android version 2.3.6 - kernel version 2.6.36.3). I downloaded & upgraded two Glides, with no problems. I mention this simply to share knowledge. Evidently, they might have worked the bugs out, that were happening from the" froyo to gingerbr...

General comments- When you switch to a 'smart phone, that will do away with you "old plan," which might have included unlimited texting, web, etc. The texting and MMS will now be entirely separate. You either pay $20 for unlimited texting & MMS, or you pay 20 cents for each text, or 30 cents for each MMS. There are no longer any 200 minute, 1500 minute, etc. texting plans...

You say you don't have a data plan. I presume you have a texting plan then. If not, you can enable usage per text, i.e., 20 cents per text...or 30 cents per MMS. Reference jii' s response above also.

Using only google search, enter "texts from 91022." That should enlighten you somewhat.

As suggested by many others: If you have a later version of Kaiser Tweaks loaded, check your PIE (Pocket Internet Explorer) settings in KT. Turn the "D-nav" option to default, or off. That should do the trick.

You're welcome. I won't post anymore on this. I wasn't trying to solve your problem. I was merely stating, that this is a very common problem, quirk, whatever. Lots of people have posted on this. People at xda and other sites have not been able to come up with a 'solution.' This appears to be a microsoft issue. I don't think you will find a 'quck & easy' solution. Otherwi...

Hi aimbo... Do you have the CD that came with the phone. If not, you can download both the Tilt Users Manual (~ 240 pages) and the Tilt Guide (~ 48 pages). They will tell you everything you need to know. You should be able to locate both .pdf files on the AT&T webpage. Doing this, will greatly speed up you learning curve. I saved both .pdf files to my home pc desktop, for...

You might try reading the Tilt Users Manual. It came on a CD. If you don't have the CD, you can download the Tilt Users Manual and the Tilt Guide to your desktop, for free. Once you do that, you will see that in Section 6.3, (SIM Manager), starting on page 87, there will be explicit instructions on how to 'move' contacts from your device to the SIM, and vice versa. You ca...
