Under the phone options, there is a "phone list view" you can toggle this from "most recent" to "call log" on the 8310. I am not sure what the defaults are on the 8900 model, though, and this may be an important difference. I note that a previous poster said that a 911 call will NOT show up under recent calls, but WILL show up under your call log. Depending on the person'...

I followed the instructions here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=Bold&thread.id=3293&view=by_date_ascending&page=1 (look at post #8). For reference, you can compare it to the step-by-step procedure from here: http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/message?board.id=rim&thread.id=30341&view=by_date_ascending&page=1 (look at post #7) If this...

Wow. I don't know who I worked with last time, but today, I called AT&T, and they immediately knew what I was talking about, and were able to get the email address removed (without my having the end user available, as I can look up PIN and IMEI via the BB Manager) That was so cool. Now, I'll just get with the end user, and get their phone reset and re-activated. Thanks so...

Michael: (1) call at&t bb support with pin and username for BIS. I can look up the PIN numbers easily, but the BIS username .... I'll have to hope it is the phone number, as I have no idea of what it is. (2) I agree about the service books, and I saw this solution before, but, obviously, without first getting the BIS removed via AT&T, can't do this step, but, the problem ...

Michael: Here is the complete setup: We use BES 4.6 All users are set up via enterprise activation, to receive their company email on their devices. UserA has a refurbished Bold 9000, had his personal email setup on the device (in addition to his company email). New phone comes in, for new userB At this point, I take refurbished phone, wipe it and remove all third party a...

Irish Rose: Thanks. I was thinking the exact same thing. I had previously looked up and discovered that wiping the device would not remove this information from the phone. However, upon calling AT&T, they kept telling me that they could not assist me. Now, the issue is particularly odd in my case, because the person who originally set up the email on the phone, and the pe...

Because it's Apple, people assume that it will be easy and convenient, never minding the fact that they are paying more for it.

wnyhiker: I think that LTC gets your point, but also wants to make his own. This also doesn't mean that the pinstack fix won't correct the issue, or mandate that refurbished devices aren't the common denomitator, only that Mass Storage Mode does not affect the devices ability to be used as a modem...at all! I agree with your assertions, with regards to the problem about r...

Mass Storage Mode does not affect the device being used as a modem. Its that simple. If this were the case, then the issue could be replicated by disabling the Mass Storage Mode, but it can't . LCT: This assertion is true. As I've stated countless times, the issue is most likely caused by a latent IT policy where Disable IP Modem is set to true. LCT: This is also a great ...

Good morning. I have several users with a Blackberry Bold, and they say that they are getting prompted about their "Documents to Go." Is this a harmless prompting, asking them if they want to upgrade to "Premium"? Or is this something else? I contacted DATAVIZ, who makes the Documents to Go software, and they tell me that the Blackberry Bold comes with Documents to Go Sta...

The problem in my case was the Outlook user was using Personal Folders as the target of their email. You know, the section where is says "deliver mail to ... Personal Folders was selected here, instead of Mailbox-Display Name as would be appropriate for an Exchange Server mailbox. I'm sorry I'm responding so late. I ended up contacting RIM before I figured out what I had done wrong.... The problem was due to improper permissions on their accounts for BESAdmin. There is a RIM document on this, let me find the link: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/articles/328/KB02276_f.SAL_Public.html I'm posting this, in case someone searches up on this question in ...

The most important point is that there are two different software packages you need, to make this happen: Blackberry Desktop Software, and Blackberry Handheld Software Blackberry Desktop Software -- is the software that you have on your computer, that you utilize to manage your Blackberry devices Blackberry Handheld Software -- is the Blackberry Model Specific Software, t...

Here is the recommended method: 1) Install the Blackberry Desktop Manager software from the CD 2) Install the Chinese version of the Blackberry software for your system 3) Select the japanese characters under the "Application Loader" to install the fonts onto your device. If you need more specifics, let me know, and I can make it more step-by-step.
