just finished testing. i have 3 very specific spots within a mile that broke gps. for the most part, it looks fixed. HOWEVER, it did drop in 1 of the 3 spots, but the gps reestablished itself within about 10 seconds, or about 1 short block of around 40 yards or so. i went around that circle pattern 3 times and each time i got the same results, fixed for the most part but ...

I just tested, it's still broke. however, it does somethjing it never did before, the signal comes back within about 2 or 3 minutes without having to manually invoke GPS. it's an inprovement, but still broke. if the kitkat upgrade doesn't fix it, then i'll root the phone and replace the files myself.

I tried WCDMA only ... no luck, still drops GPS. I live in an area where I can quickly test options There are 3 specific locations that I can drive thru and in all 3 spots, GPS drops without exception. It so precise that I can see GPS drop within 20 yards or so at each location. Crazy. Airplane mode is still the only working option to date.

the only quick and dirty thing that works to date is to swith to "airplane" mode while driving and using the nav app (any flavor). that at least stops the GPS from dropping, although you sacrifice any of the apps data, traffic updates, etc.

Changing the config to use GSM only doesn't work ... GPS still drops.

Yep, ATT wont do anything ... that's obvious now. It look like switching carriers is the only option if one really needs the GPS. So assuming we do switch, T-Mobile appears to be the easiest and most affordable choice with the ETF and all. Has anyone switch to TM? What has been the experience? I'm concerned about the coverage, not that I travel too far all that often, but...

ATT called me back ... and they closed the ticket and said "its not an ATT issue". I absolutely lost my cool and blew my lid! I can't take this kind of incompetence and will be switching carries this weekend. Good luck folks.

An FYI for those listening - I called ATT again today to confirm the case number (cm201******). I confirmed they (a network operations tech) will be calling me with an update sometime tomorrow afternoon (Jan 29th PDT). I dont know what they will tell me, but I can only hope all the notes I've passsed on as well as this thread will lead them to some sort of resolution. I'v...

It doesn't make any difference, it's already been confirmed that all models have this issue. -- Kirk

I've spoken with ATT ... the case number is: cm20140124_81542408 I've also sent this info to ATTMarianaCM and hopefullly she'll provide some additional info. They (ATT tech manager) told me that I would get a personal call from one of their developers by Jan 29th with at least some type of resolution (acknowledgment is all I'm really looking for at this point). I'll repor...

Joke: Here's what ATT should do. Hire a developer who's from out of town. Send him a Note 3 along with the address of his new office and tell him to navigate to his new office location. Upon his arrival (which he'll certainly be late and frustrated), ask him "what would to like to fix first?".
