The cost of having 2 lines and keeping them both operational on the network is greater than the cost of operating a single line, which would be the reason for the cost difference. And actually, 2 lines @ 700 minutes is MORE than 1 line at 900 minutes....700 family plan = $69.99, 900 single-line = $59.99. You do not have 2500+ minutes that are going to expire. You may have...

Call the Port Activations Center and see what the status is: 888-898-7685. That's their direct # and they should be able to get your situation taken care of.

Save yourself some time. You can only set up postpaid service without an SSN for a $500 deposit. If you want something besides Pay As You Go, you can always check into the hybrid plan: GoPhone Pick Your Plan. Only requirement is a bank account or credit card, and it can be a prepaid credit card.

Correct, old one won't work. Sometimes you can get a new SIM at no cost if you're activating new service, depends on the store and how nicely you ask. If they try to charge you too much and won't budge, just go to Wal-Mart or somewhere and pickup a cheapie phone (usually one under $20).

Your account expires 60 days past the expiration date of the last minute card purchsed. For example, the $15 minute card expires after 30 days from the date that it's added to the account. So after 90 days, your account expires and the number for your account goes into recycle and you'd need a new SIM to activate a new number.

All my incoming calls show my number. Only my outgoing show the number of the other caller.

You've got part of it right. They expire after 12 months if they haven't been used, but in your scenario, you've used them all. If you have to use rollover minutes, they always pull the oldest ones first, so those 200 acquired in the first month aren't expired, they were used. In accounting terms, it's a FIFO system (First In, First Out)

if it's a GoPhone, there is no "canceling" the account, you simply stop adding funds to it and it will expire in 60 days

Did you purchase them at the store you were trying to return them to? I've never heard of a restock fee on an exchange . A flat-out return? Yes, I'd expect a restock fee. Even swapping out phones to go to a less expensive phone, they shouldn't charge a restock fee. The only exception is if you're missing anything that the phone came with, like a charger, owner's manual, e...

The balance would be added on top of the Pick Your Plan balance. It would still do the autopay for the bank account or credit card. If you're wanting to switch, I would go ahead and use what balance is there on the pay as you go before the switch.

For $29.99, you get your money's worth! At least you still get the free mobile-to-mobile. If you find out later than you need rollover you can always change to the $39.99 Nation 450 plan. Also, being under contract wouldn't restrict you from being able to change the rate plan. You can do so at any time without being charged, extending the contract, etc. Hope that helps!

The only way they would get charged is if they answered it or manually forwarded the call to voicemail by hitting the "reject call" button (or something simliar).
