Let this be a warning to you all. For those who bring their Nexus 7 tablets to AT&T and want to cancel during the 14 day trial period. AT&T reps seem to short out and don't understand the concept of "I'm in a contract but i bought my phone outright". I spent 1.5 hours and talked to 4 different people and chatted with an online rep. The 3rd person was the only one who had ...

So I got my AT&T Service on a Nexus 7 that I paid for with my own money- did not sign up with anyone. I had T-Mobile a few days earlier but decided to go to AT&T so that my bills wouldn't be complicated. Well, I found out the AT&T rep at the store had scratched the SIM tray on my brand new Nexus 7. Not happy, and the speeds I get on AT&T are the same as T-Mobile, but I co...

Well it's not technically AT&T's problem, it's more of Apple's problem and how they wrote the software. Though it's a pain to do this every night, what you could do is turn cellular data off before you go to sleep and have your phone feed off WiFi. When you do this your iphone will use WiFi (I think) when it's in sleep mode.

I think Mobile Broadband is the way to go in the future but.... not until these prices come crashing down. I think at this point mobile broadband is still a very premium luxury and we should all be lucky for those who can actually spare the expense. Right now I don't see Clear's unlimited 4G being sustainable at all, assuming people do actually get decent speeds on it. I ...

Presumably, when you talk you are using that same bandwidth for data. It might split the bandwidth that you have so you can talk and use the internet at the same time. I too notice a slowdown, although it's from 3Mbit to 1.4Mbit.

They're probably just finding an excuse to kick you off their unlimted plan because you use "too much". But you know what... Unlimited is unlimited. They don't have 5GB "hidden caps" like Verizon did with their "unlimited plans" back in the day.. which they got sued for. I miss unlimited but I need the tethering myself for my iPad...

I think what they were saying was that they would have been fine if AT&T had Data Tiers such as... $30 Unlimited $20 1GB $15 200MB

I think the contract is fairly dependent on AT&T being able to give you reliable service. Note reliable- different from fast. I.e. if you're on EDGE all the time it's still reliable. Just not fast. That being said you could probably call AT&T and have them terminate your contract without paying a penalty, because they can't provide service promised to you. Or you could th...

If you're on wifi, it will download it through wifi. 200MB isn't a lot of data. I can easily burn through it in a week. I used to use 1.4-1.8GB a month before switching to the .... meager plan which I'm sure is a lot more profitable for the good ol' boys in blue. My friend on Verizon eats around 4-5GB a month. If you use Google Mobile, you can request mobile formatted ver...

Apple never gives anything away for free usually. You could tell Steve's voice when he said "Okay. So we're gonna give cases for free" he sounded realllly unhappy.

They're not gonna waive the restocking fee. BBY isn't going to either. Only Apple will. I will never buy premium smartphones from AT&T ever if I can help it.

AT&T will probably hate what Apple is doing later on once they start receiving complaints that their signal absolutely stinks. I used to drive around town with 5-3 bars on 3G. Now I'm going around getting 2-4.
