2G service ending but I have a $470.00 balance remaining...

My 2G service for my GoPhone ends Dec. 31. However, I've accumulated a balalce of $470.00 on my prepaid account.  As I, obviously, seldom use my phone anymore, I plan to quit owning a cell phone entirely but I want to know if I can get my huge balance credited back to me before the end of this year.  I'm not under any contract so I don't think this should be a problem, but then I'm dealing with an entity greater than me. LOL Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

All account information and funds can be transferred to a new phone, otherwise no one would ever change phones. New phones come with SIM cards and they can be activated on your account.

As for getting your balance refunded, I'm pretty sure gophone does not do refunds. Your options are use it or lose it.
