Won’t let me pay bill with checking account

I’m trying to pay my bill with my checking account but for some reason I don’t have the option to. I’ve tried both online and over the phone. Now, my account is suspended and I need my phone! My bank issued me a new debit card but it hasn’t come in the mail, and I don’t have a temporary. HELP!!

Hello @breannaalisse!

We want to help! You're more than welcome to visit your nearest AT&T store to submit a payment for your account. Also, you may want to check with your financial institution to ensure your checking account isn't blocked.

Hope this helped!

I always make sure to pay my bill on time, but you guys keep shutting my phone off anyway and my payment is not processing. Please do better. I once had to pay $580 because of this. I don't have money like that to spend on a phone bill. Please do better.

Hello!

By visiting one of our stores, you’re able to submit a payment via cash or check. Also, were you unsuccessful at paying your bill through customer service or dialing *PAY (*729) from your wireless phone or simply using the AT&T app on your device?

Let us know so we can assist!

Hello!

When i use the pay hotline and put in my info, it will not accept the bank account. Also, when I try online/app it doesn’t have the option for a checking account.

AT&T doesn't care!!  Seriously!  After talking to two, level one customer service employees, and being put on hold multiple times, the answer to my not being able to use the stored bank account information to pay my bill is that there is a technical issue, try later?  Yeah right!  I've worked for a call center before and understand the final response I got.

I'm trying to pay my bill using my stored bank account info and can't.

I've been an AT&T customer since 1998.  It's time to move on to a company truly focused on customer service and not just customer friendly and profits!

It sounds like there is a technical issue preventing you from doing so at this point. You should either wait and try again or pay a different way.

Will an at&t store accept a paper check for payment or will they accept my routing and account number of my checking account without a paper check?
