Why was I charged before the date?

I'm scheduled to renew (my prepaid account) on Dec 15th, but my account was charged today, Dec 14th, so I want to know why this happened. What if there was no money in my account and I had to pay a fee ($35) for not having the funds?

If your plan renews on the 15th, that means the current plan expires on the 14th. It is normal to be charged the day before so that your plan will renew at midnight and you won’t have a service interruption. If it did not charge today, your service would be cut off at midnight.

It's every 30 days, not monthly. As Liz mentioned your plan will renew before it expires, not the day of.
