Where do I write to explain that ATT switched my payment account costing me an overdraft?

When calling in to upgrade my data service on the 1st of May, somehow my billing account was reverted back to a Visa card that I had previously been using. This resulted in a payment from the wrong account triggering an overdraft notice and subsequent fee being charged to the bank account attached to my Visa card. The following month, (now the end of June) the ATT charge arrived early to the same incorrect Visa card. I called ATT and thought I had resolved the problem only to find that I had received a second overdraft from my bank. Calling ATT again, I asked to have the Visa removed from the ATT account...

Today, making time to sign in and write to ATT, (it took much signing in and out before finding this platform.) I found that my Visa card is still listed on the account... What are my chances of getting ATT to cover the cost of at least one of my overdrafts? Where do I send the request?

Sincerely trying to remain a happy client!

Hello @66mustang!

Welcome to the AT&T Community Forums! I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I am more than happy to help with this.

Having a bill charged to the wrong Visa card is a concern. This is not the experience we want you to have. I’m here to help.

To change the payment method, please log in to this page. Please do the following steps to change to the correct credit card:

  1. Go to Overview.
  2. If you have three or more accounts, select service from the drop-down at the top.
  3. Under Total balance, select Manage AutoPay > Update payment method.
  4. Follow the prompts to change the payment method.

I would like to make sure your account is now set up properly on the right card. Please be on the lookout for a private message to your Forums inbox. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day.
