Verizon refunding overages due to Sandy.

I wonder if ATT will do so as well. We had to send 150 extra texts because the calling wasn't working.

Just got an email that ATT will waive voice & text overage for people in affected areas through November 30. Nice!

AT&T is also being very courteous in problems caused by Sandy. Such as crediting some of the monthly charges in result of no service due to Sandy.

Cool. I hadn't heard about that. We had no reception for almost a week and ATT didn't offer us anything. Do you have to call and ask for money back?

Verizon's credit is automatic. You dan't have to ask, they just refund your overage.

AT&T's isn't automatic. But yes, call 611 and just politely ask for a credit for the time that you didn't have service.

Cool.

And remember the "politely" part.

The person on the phone isn't responsible for the hurricane.

Anyone who tried, let us know if they credited you.
