As of right now, I'm on at$t, on my brothers plan, however, yesterday I started a plan for my fiancé who didn't have one if I switch over from one at$t plan to another is it free? Or do I have to pay? And if so how much?
The process of moving a number from one account to another is called a Transfer of Billing Responsibility, you can learn about it here. If done online using self-service options, there is no fee, if done with Customer Care over the phone or at the store, an $18 Transfer of Service fee will be charged to the next bill. Any existing contract and upgrade eligibility will transfer with your line.
