Returned Payment

I was notified by bank that payment was returned. This was a payment on a payment arrangement.

my questions:

will payment be presented a second time?

if returned will I be notified so i can reissue prior to a disconnect?

can i issue payment from same account or will a different account or payment method be required?

I have been going into my account in order to redo payment but am unable to as it doesnt show amount owing. So just trying to find out what will happen and my options will be.

I called At&t and the rep I spoke to was of no help. Just kept saying the payment has posted .

Re: Returned Payment

Hello @simplywendie,

Any issues in which a payment is returned can raise a concern.  I understand how this can lead to many questions.  I can guide you with the proper way to handle this.

I’m glad to hear you have spoken with an AT&T representative already, and they have verified your payment has posted.  This does show on our end it has been accepted.  Our systems will not provide details in regard to why a check is returned.

For your questions, there could always be a chance a payment may show up twice if you have submitted it twice.  If this happens, you will need to speak with your bank in order to stop the second one.  If a check is returned, you will receive a payment reminder prior to disconnection and there are various methods in which you can pay.  You can also review this article to see what these options are to better assist!  If you have any other questions about the returned check, I would refer you to your bank for further answers.

If you need further help with your account, please don't hesitate to contact us back.  Have a great day!
