Pls explain Data number listed in billing

Hi all ... thanx for helping.

In my online billing, looking at the Data side, it shows the telephone numbers for my text messages, both sent and received.  BUT, some of the messages don't have a phone number, they list either a Five-Digit number or an Eight-Digit number.

Can someone please tell me what those two types represent or where they come from?  I like to associate names with numbers but cannot figure who belongs to those "non phone numbers."

Any help is greatly appreciated.Smiley Happy

Typically, these will be text or mms that you receive from someone that is using a client other than a text messaging client, like instant messaging or email. Usually they are from a pc, but they can be from another phone also.

The 5 or 6 digit are Premium Short Code messages.  These are the ones you see all the time for thngs like American Idol, Horoscopes etc etc.

Thank you.  I guess that means there is no way for me to determine who that text comes from then huh?
