Paid Past Due Amount but Account Still Suspended

I paid the past due amount ($74.85) as soon as I received the suspension email. My bill for this month (another $74) has already been posted but it isn't due till November 28.  I read on some forums that services won't be restored until the account is $0 which I don't mind since I'm currently in another country and I'm mainly using a pay as you go local number. However, I'm waiting for the credit card replacement (it was stolen thus cancelled and replaced) for these types of payments to arrive which would be sometime this week. I'm on a budget and AT&T hasn't been accepting the local debit card I've been using. With that being said, will my account really be suspended until the balance is $0? If so, do I still have till the 28th to pay this bill or will AT&T cancel my account?
