Next Upgrade Fees

Question

If i'm upgrading to Next from a contract, do I have to pay the upgrade and any restocking fees upfront, with the down payment, or will they be on my new bill?

You will have to pay the sales tax on the phone at time of purchase. That is all. The NEXT payments will be on your bill. I don't think that there are any upgrade fees on NEXT, and there are no restocking fees unless you return the phone you just purchased.

I talked to ATT at 611 and they said if I only qualify for the down payment option, that just the down payment and sales taxes are due upfront and any feature (data, e.g.) upgrade fees will be on the bill.

They also reduced the upgrade fee to $15 after raising it to $45 earlier this year!

Right kdfederer! The Next payments will be on the bills and if I qualify for one of the options without a down payment there are no upfront payment except for the sales tax!Thanks!
