Explanation of how taxes are charged on wireless account

Can anyone please explain how the taxes are calculated on a wireless account of ATT. I have a family plan with 5 lines and i see the following taxes.

Federal Universal Service Charge

MI State Access Fund

MI State Telecom Surcharge

Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge

9-1-1 Service Fee

County 9-1-1 Service Fee

Some of the above are different for each line.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Kranthi

for a full explination you need to look at your states tax rules, some are flat rate, some are variable rate based on the cost of the line, some are ferderall regulated like the 911 services fees - there is also a base E911 charge

All taxes and service charges are based on every state of all six charges. They are mandatory fees to all federal and state payments much like your regular cable bill is. It's hidden in there too and mandatory.

The taxes are really complex, with different rules and rates depending on where you live and what services you have. It doesn't seem worth the time it would take to get it figured out.

What about the fees? Fees are negotiatable and they are NOT mandatory
