Hello @TWrufael, allow us to lend a helping hand. AT&T unlimited and more would be the type of plan that you're on. An access fee is a charge applied to all lines on the account to access the service plan. Check out this support article on Understanding your first bill for more information. Thanks for reaching out to us.

       Thank you so much, I understood very well, initially I went to the local store just to buy my new iphone, I didn’t explore type of plans that AT&T has either the service representative explained it, now I learned that my plan has, TV channels, and high data speed, for me they are not priority because of financial constraints that I am facing, so I prefer a prepaid plan which looks affordable, what I want to know is that, how long should I stay with my first plan before changing to the new plan ? Is there any restriction that prevents me from changing my plan at this early stage? As my 1st bill due on Jan, 05 2019.

Hello @TWrufael,

We'd be happy to help but need some clarification. When you state you would like to change your plan, are you looking to stay on a Postpaid plan option or are you looking to switch to Prepaid?

We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, @TWrufael,

You said you have a combined bill, correct? It can take up to two to three billing cycles for their combined bill discount to kick in. If you change your wireless plan now, you may incur prorated charges. You may want to wait until seeing the February or March bill before making any changes.

@TWrufael

If you are paying for a phone on installments, your entire balance would be required to move to prepaid service.  Prepaid is cheaper for single lines, significantly because phones must be paid for in full.

Explain "Access for Smartphone 4G LTE w/Visual VM" @ $25.00

and

"Mobile Share Value 3GB & 3GB Bonus w/Rollover" @ $40.00

on the same bill...... why the 2 separate charges?

     This is the individual charge for a device that is added to your plan. All postpaid plans our group plans so that you can add as many devices as you choose phones, tablets, smart watches. Each device has a different charge as you can see phones are $25. Tablets are 10, watches are 10.  If you were payin installments, the installments would show here.

and

"Mobile Share Value 3GB & 3GB Bonus w/Rollover" @ $40.00

    This is your shared data plan.

on the same bill...... why the 2 separate charges?

AT&T still prices all of its postpaid plans à la cart. That means each device, and the data plan are separate charges.
