How do I find out the phone numbers that are being texted on my detailed billing for the data?

Hello @DevvonLyndsie,

We can definitely provide you with some more information about viewing your data usage with detailed billing. When you Check your wireless usage history, data and text are combined into one usage report. This is where you are able to see any phone numbers that text messages were sent to or received from, but for data usage there will not be any phone numbers shown because it is simply showing that data was used for the line on your wireless account that you selected. The information included for data with your Detailed billing will be data usage, including date, time, and amount used. Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

On my detailed billing there are “mobile data” entries every 3 hours. They run 24 hours a day at 3am, 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 12am like clockwork 7 days a week. They have varied usage amounts ranging from 12KB to 972KB to 32176KB.  Are these auto-generated mobile data entries or does this every 3 hour data billing cumulative to reflect streaming or gaming built up and reported on the bill at those time intervals. Our plan was running over on data and my partner has no idea what the mobile data billing come from. Could it be a app always running in the background? Or is he using his data 24h a day non-stop?

I am trying to monitor my son's call and text logs. But some of the text and calls don't show on the bill. Why. I saw the texts going in and out certain time but it does not show it on my bill. What can I do to get full report. Every single call and text logs.

Great question, @Sinfashion1! We can help you to find why you're not seeing your son's call and text messaging logs on your usage reports.

When it comes to viewing your detailed billing, it's possible to experience delays in usage reporting. As advised at Check current usage for data, talk, and text, we update your usage reports as quickly as we can, but sometimes your usage info may be unavailable or delayed.

It can take two to five days for data use to post in myAT&T, so amounts shown online may not reflect all use since your last bill. View these details and more under Usage reporting delays:

Time stamps for current data or text usage may be off by up to 4 hours in myAT&T. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • We usually update recent data use every three hours.
  • You may not be able to see usage since your last bill online if you have a new account or changed your plan in the middle of a bill period.
  • Usage info may not be available while we’re processing your bill. Usage generated near the end of a bill period may not show up until the next bill period.
  • Additional delays of up to 60 days are possible if the usage takes place outside the U.S.
  • For wireless roaming use, which is based on call records from other carriers, delays are normally 2-10 days but could be more than 60 days. Some use may display online but be billed during a later bill period.
  • For talk use, you may see airtime for voicemails and other calls that aren't billed. If you use more minutes than are included in your plan, we'll deduct the minutes from your available Rollover Minutes. After that, we’ll apply a per-minute charge.

Detailed billing is a great way to receive details on the phone numbers dialed and received, call lengths and times, text messages, and data usage.

We hope this info helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
