Bring Google Pixel to AT&T and get up to $360 in bill credits

I moved my phone number and Google Pixel to AT&T during the Google Pixel promotion (before June 30th). I am confident that I qualified for this promotion, however the promotion is no longer listed anywhere and when I talked to an AT&T representative on the phone, they had no idea what promotion I was talking about. Additionally, I have had multiple other issues with my bill since switching to AT&T. I know it will take a few billing cycles before the credits show up on my bill, but I have a bad feeling that I will never receive credits.

Did anyone else take advantage of this promotion and actually receive bill credits?

Good Afternoon @paulybo!

Whenever you start services with a promotional offer, it can certainly be a concern to get the credits you were expecting. I will be more than happy to assist you in researching this matter further. This way we can get to the bottom of this promotion.

In order to better assist you, I will need to gather some additional information. Can you please send me a private message to @ATTCare? Please include your full name, account number, phone number, and the best time to get ahold of you. Any additional information you can include regarding the promotion, please add.

Thank you so much for this. I hope to work with you soon!

I have contacted AT&T several times about different issues. I always ask
the representative if they can look into the Pixel promo and they never
know what I am talking about.

Most recently, I was told to call back about the issue if the promo isnt
applied to the October bill. I have little faith at this point, but it is
3-4 billing cycles after signing up.

There was an offer if you open a new line with a Pixel in June.  $15 a month bill credits.

Please note it had to be a new postpaid line with ATT, not a lateral move from an MVNO and not from prepaid.

The problem may be the carrier you came from doesn't qualify.

Hi Lizdance40,

Do you suspect that if I brought my phone from Cricket I would not be eligible for this offer?

Also, I still can't reach any one at AT&T who knows this expired promotion. They always check on expired promos but they can't find the Pixel promotion.

Thank you,

Has anyone gotten the a credit for this promo?  I have yet to see mine, and not a single rep has known anything about it.  I brought a Google Pixel over online during this promotion along with two other non-pixel phones and still have received no credit.  When I called customer service last night, I spent over 90 minutes being bounced from one rep to another, and finally being disconnected.  None of the reps I spoke with had any clue about the Pixel Promotion.  They looked at the history of the promotions for this year and couldn't find it.  It's like it just disappeared.  How am I able to get this credit when no one you talk to can find it?

Thanks!

I started this thread in July and have not received any credits. When the promotion disappeared I was concerned that they may not deliver. Those screenshots are the only record I can provide. I've spent 3+ hours on the phone and it wasn't worth the time as no one can find the promotion. Additionally, I contacted the ironically named "AT&T Cares" account twice (because I had good luck with that approach in the past), but I never got a response.

Since I am not receiving these Pixel promotions, there is nothing tying me to AT&T anymore and I am leaving at the end of this pay period. AT&T has duped me in the past offering me a great deal but not delivering. This time it was the promise of $360 in bill credits. After 15+ years of service, this was the final straw.

Best of luck to you slaw. If you're lucky, you may get a $25 credit for your troubles with customer support.

@paulybo Cricket definitely did not qualify. Cricket is ATT.

You didn’t use the @ mention to tag me in the post.  But as I wrote in post 5 and  @sandblaster wrote, you have to come from another carrier, not a move within the ATT family. Since Cricket, H2O and others are ATT carriers, you never qualified.

Thank you @sandblaster and @lizdance40, I'll accept that as a resolution to my question (I'm not sure about the other people who have had issues). I really wish this was stated 5 minutes into my phone calls instead of saying they couldn't find record of the promotion.

I read all the conditions listed on the promotion page, but this wasn't stated. I'm sure it's part of their broad rules. AT&T is very misleading and the least upfront company I have worked with. While most people are including taxes and fees in their pricing, my AT&T bill is inflated from $130/month to $165 because of a tax and fee rate totaling 27%. Who would expect such a high tax/fee rate?

I plan to switch my family of 5 back to Cricket at $100 total after taxes and fees. That's $65 back in my pocket. Of course Cricket is owned by AT&T but their practices are much more straightforward.
