AT&T Switcher Issues/Lies

Back in February, I switched my wife's phone from Verizon to AT&T in part due to promises made during the chat session.  During that chat session, we were promised $567 in bill credits upon upload of previous bill (done) and trade-in of phone (done).  I've been calling essentially monthly since then and have not seen any of the credits.  

 

It was chat reference # *** and in it "Arbey" tells me:

 

Arbey : It's $80.5 for the phone, then it would be $650 - $80.5 &eq; $569.5 in bill credits and the $80.5 could assist you to pay the ETF.

 

Arbey : You will get the Visa Prepaid Card with $569 Credits you can use to pay your final bill (ETF), and a Gift/Promotional Card with the $80 Buyback credits for you to use towards your AT&T Bill, purchase accessories, or any other services.

 

It has been 10 months and all I received my coverage for my early termination fee.  The ONLY reason we left Verizon (a far superior company) was for the switcher off and we have received what we were promised.  As stated, I have called both AT&T and Young America NUMEROUS TIMES and have had zero resolution.

My apologies for all the frustration! That would definitely get maddening after the first few months!

 

This is an awesome promotion, but issues with it are certainly rage-inducing!

 

What is your status look like on the switcher credit website at the moment?

 

Is Young America awaiting some confirmation or piece of information? Is it stuck in the waiting period?

We were sent $155; which incidentally, did not even cover our $175 ETF from Verizon.  Is there no recourse for a sales person who outright lied to me?  Like I said before, we would not have switched without these mystery bill credits.  Over the course of the chat he verified, in writing, that we would again and again receive these.

 

In addition, the Young America # has no people.  It is simply recordings that read information to you.  So there is no way to actually dispute anything.  I've been sent back and forth between Young America and AT&T repeatedly looking for answers.

My apologies for the continued trouble.

 

It is hard for us to make any judgments on your situation without information or a status update from Young America, as they process the rebates, and have all of the trade-in material that you’ve uploaded.

 

They do have a team of agents who can assist with this (@1-866-852-8617)

, however their IVR can be troublesome to get through especially during peak hours.

 

We would be glad to contact them on your behalf and obtain a status update, we can even report the agent who provided you the misinformation on the offer if you’d like!

I have the same issue only my ETF Was Not Paid And Showed Up In My Credit While Trying To Get A House Young America Has Given Us The Run Around I've Never Been Soo Heated
