Voice and Data Plans
The various data plans 3GB, 9GB, unlimited, all mention unlimited Talk & Text to and within Mexico. I could care less about Mexico. I am looking for a plan that includes unlimited Talk & Text within the U.S. My current 2GB plan (which has been discontinued) has unlimited Talk & Text, but only 2GB of data and then constant overages of $15.00 every month. I want to eliminate this later issue.

All plans, every single plan for several years now includes unlimited talk and text to all US states, US territories including Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands.
3 and 9 gig plans it says so right in the black section at the top.
https://www.att.com/plans/wireless/mobile-share-plus.html
On the unlimited page it says so over the photo of couple.

And in the fine print.

I saw that at the top, but when you compare plans the unlimited talk and text option is only checked for the premium plan.

@RAB_BCB_VA
I’ve heard that before. It’s the plan comparison tool that’s incorrect.

@lizdance40, @RAB_BCB_VA I presume you mean the page where they compare all plans. It wasn’t incorrect, it was the wording. The checkmark was only on the unlimited plan because it was for unlimited talk and text both to and from Mexico and Canada. It must have confused a few people. They seem to have redesigned that page, each plan now specifically has a checkmarked line stating “unlimited talk and text”. This is the page: https://www.att.com/plans/wireless.html

@RAB_BCB_VA, with regard to your original concern, how much are your paying for your grandfathered plan and what are your typical overage charges?
I have a grandfathered plan, too, and sometimes go over. It’s not every month, though, and it’s usually only one overage charge, though sometimes it’s 3 or 4.
I’ve done the math, though, and to get a plan with more data, the only option right now is unlimited, which would add so much to my
monthly charge that I am better off with the overages charges, even if it was one or two every month.
