Why am I being charged by Verizon when ATT was supposed to take care of it

You needed to pay it and PROPERLY submit the paperwork and follow the process to get reimbursed. Lots of steps, follow carefully. http://att.com/switch

AT&T switcher only covers the early cancelation costs, not the whole bill. Did you turn in your phone, that's a requirement too...

Yep, you have to read that fine print CAREFULLY, especially on deals that seem "too good to be true". All the providers have similar deals & MANY customers get ticked after signing up & not fully understanding what they were getting into.

ATT does not pay Verizon. You pay them and then submit your final bill to get reimbursed for termination fees or device payoffs. As noted above, follow the steps closely. If you don't meet all the requirements, you won't be reimbursed.
