@Nhanngo89 No.
You can physically move the phone to the other line, but not the payments.

If one line is eligible for upgrade, this is possible.

For example, a mother is eligible for an upgrade but the daughter needs a new phone. Her daughter has six months remaining on an AT&T Next® installment plan.

Why is it not possible to associate a NEXT contract with a different number on the same account? This seems like a very easy thing to do to associate the contract with the other phone number.

@shanem412 Perhaps it is easy to do but that is not the point. ATT simply does not allow it. One reason is BOGO offers. If you could move the Next plan to another line, customers would open new lines to get free phones, then move the Next plan and cancel that new line.

That is exactly what happened to me and then account holder was allowed to release my number with exchanged installment plan to a new account with me as account holder. I never agreed to it but they did it.

I had a similar incident happened to me. I think any installment plans for a device should follow the device.

@PanicJames so if you sold your phone online to a stranger your saying that stranger should be responsible for your next plan? because if it were this way people would be racking up some cash nonstop

Selling your phone and having buyer take over payments isn’t realistic. Installment plan should transfer with in same account! I removed my daughters line (she took her paid for phone and went under her Fathers account). I used her upgrade (before removing her line) and when her line was removed 2 months later I receive a $663 phone bill! Bill shows full payment of upgrade due and also shows 2 of 30 Payments due!!
