Suspicious call 1-800-288-8000

This number 1-800-288-8000 called as ATT and when I answered it was a message operator saying my account was deactivated and I should press 1 for reactivation or 2 for customer assistance and as soon as I pressed 2 the call dropped. Called back and the number was unavailable. Is this a legit ATT call?

No. ATT does not make calls like that. It was likely some sort of phishing call to get your personal info.

Got the same robo call on 6/27/2018 - -first asked for my ATT PIN then my  SSN last four.  Obviously a phishing exercise to get your ATT info.  Unfortunately I do have ATT - best to 'block' this number in your iPhone , , so I won;t get calls from  these bums again.

I just got the exact same call as well. Have you had any issues since the call? Did you wind up trying to get a rep on the phone and putting in your info?

Call AT&T and change your PIN!

Won't hurt to change any PINs or passwords used to access your account online, either.
