Suspend service to a lost phone?

Hello, I have lost my phone. Can I get it blocked so that no one can else can mis-use it? I am not sure where it is but I think it may be on my desk at work. Can it temporarily be suspended or once it is turned off that's it? What do I do? -Susan

Yes you can temporarily suspend your line of service.  If you find it you can reactivate it.  If not at least you know nobody can use it.

To suspend your service or block you device:

  1. Go to att.com/suspend.
  2. Choose a reason and select Suspend.
  3. Follow the prompts to suspend your service and block your device if it was stolen.

If/when you find your device and want to reactivate it, follow these steps:

Wireless Devices

  1. Go to att.com/suspend.
  2. Select Reactivate next to the suspended device.
  3. Follow the prompts to reactivate it.

AT&T PREPAID Devices

  1. Sign in with your 10-digit wireless number and password.
  2. Go to My Device and then Report a Lost or Stolen Device.
  3. Select Report Device Found.

Some things to keep in mind about blocked devices:

  • If your device was suspended and blocked, the person whose name is on the bill has to contact us to remove the block.
  • Outside of the AT&T network? It may take up to 24 hours to unblock the device.
