Robo call (allegedly from ATT) re: account suspended pending verification
I've received robo calls on my mobile telling me my account has been suspended pending verification. Probably a scam. I called ATT and did not get much satisfaction. Another hint that it's a scam. Be careful.

Definitely a scam. ATT does not make calls like that.

I just received the robo call saying my AT&T account had been suspended and I needed to verify it. I knew immediately this was a scam and decided to play along.
They asked for my last 4 digits of my social security number. I put in 1234. Then it asked for my AT&T password. I put in 1234567890. Then it said reinstating account. LOL
Please do not fall for this and give out your information. AT&T would never make that type of call.

Just had this happen. It was at 9:47pm 2 days ago. They called twice from this number! +18007584182
I knew it was a scam of course seeing how they called on my suspended account and AT&T wouldn't send an automated call, especially that late!

I just got 2 of these "a count suspended" calls in the past 30 minutes. The recording asked for my Att passcode. What? Hung up. 7-28-18

I also got this Robo call this evening and was scrambling to find out what was going on. Of course AT&T support was already closed for the day - even though they used to be available 24x7, so I couldn't ask them if this was a legit call. I thought it was because my bill was one day late, but this didn't make sense. NOTE: I also had "Do Not Disturb" turned on on my iPhone X so that it only allows calls from someone in my contacts list - the most restrictive there is, but somehow the 800-334-0500 call got through. This whole episode has been one big pain the the butt. Fortunately, I found this posting and see I'm not the only one dealing with this. AT&T - get your act together and return us to the day of 24x7 support via 611!

WoW! I've gotten about 3 of these calls. Never paid much attention, as I have service through Verizon. However, this last call, same recording, account has been cut off, need info. BUT when I looked at the number that called, it was MY NUMBER !!!!! How in the heck do they do that ???

I got the exact call today. The call read as if it were from me. My name. Number was spoofed to be local (520) 221-1692. I hung up when automated voice asked for passcode.

Yup, those pond scum suckers are everywhere. They pray mostly on the poor old people, that do not know any better than to give out their SS# etc.
