Removing someone from your plan

How do we take our daughter off our plan since she is getting married and will be on her husbands plan?

Yes, she should port the number first. Porting the number will remove it from your account. If you cancel her line first, she won't be able to port. She will need your account number to port and possibly the account pin code.

If moving to another ATT plan, you need to initiate a transfer of billing responsibility of her line to him. Info on how to do that here: https://www.att.com/tobr/. If moving to a different carrier, they need to port the number.

She will be going to a different carrier.  Should she port the number first, before I take her off my account?  I guessing ... yes.

depends,

if you are willing to give your account number, password, billing address, she can port it directly to other carrier. else, do the tobr - 8884444410 options 2 &5
