Reactivating a deactivated phone.

Can a deactivated phone be reactivated several months later?  How can this be done?  Will the same phone number be reactivated?  If not, what is the process for obtaining a new number?

Quickest way is to go to an ATT store or retailer and buy a new sim kit and refill card.

If your previous account has been idle for more than 60 days, it is canceled and number lost.

A phone can be reactivated but a SIM card can't. Once a SIM card is deactivated, it can not be reactivated. As for the phone number, I'm guessing you are talking about prepaid service. If it has been several months your account has likely been cancelled and the number gone. If that's the case, you will need to open a new account with a new SIM card and number. You have 60 days to refill your prepaid account before your account is closed. If it has been less than 60 days, then your account has not been closed and your SIM card is still active. All you need to do is refill your account.
