Is there a maximum number of lines to family plan?

Would like to add my parents to my family plan. I currently have myself, husband and two children = 4 lines. Can I add two more lines to my family plan so my mom and dad can both have separate lines on my plan?

I believe most plans are 10 phones lines.  (You didn't tell us which of the many family plans that you have).

Hey,

The maximum for plan is 10 lines.

So there wont be any issue at the moment to add you mom and dad.

Hi.

I recently remarried.  I currently have either 2 or 3 lines on my plan.

How much for 4 lines?  I need to add my new husband and my son who is just coming of age for a phone.

We are doing a cost comparison of AT&T (our provider) and Sprint (my husband's provider) before we make any decisions.

Thanks.

Adding new lines to your existing plan will cost the same as you are paying for the lines you have now.  Read your bill.  It shows line access and taxes.
Phones are extra if you buy them.  att.com has phone deals available for newly added lines.  FOLLOW EXACTLY.  They are not open to interpretation, no substitutions.  Read carefully.

This is not Sprint. We have no idea what they charge

Can I add an additional line to use with a portable hot-spot device?

@wmthomposon that depends on what plan you have? If you are on an unlimited data plan you may not add a dedicated hotspot to the plan.
If you are on a metered mobile share plan, yes you can add a mobile hotspot. The line fee for that hotspot may vary depending on which plan you have

You can add a hotspot to your phone (assuming you don't already have it) by changing your plan if your phone does not already have hotspot capability.

You can check out the plans that are available at att.com. there are three levels of unlimited plan, a 3 and a 9 gig postpaid plan.

I see the AT&T unlimited extra and starter are $35/line for 5 lines and $30/line for 5 lines.  I need 6 or 7 lines.  How much will that cost?  How many lines can I have for family plan?

@windylong You can have up to 10 lines. I’m not sure about cost but I don’t think the price per line drops any more for line 6 or 7.

Hello @windylong,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The commenter above is correct!

There are a max of 10 devices per plan and there is no additional discount per device after 5 devices.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

I can confirm that phone lines 6 through 10 are the same price as the 5th phone line.

On the starter plan the lowest price is $30 per line.   On the extra plan the lowest price is $35 per line.

Watch lines are 10, and do not count toward your discounted phone lines.  Tablets are $20, also don't count toward the discounted line cost.

I have 12 lines.  Seriously.  If I could upload a screen shot , I would.
