I want to remove a line from my plan and my friend that is responsible for the line is willing to open up an account with ATT to transfer the line to her, would that be possible without further charges or cancellations to my account for removing the line? Could this be done over the phone as well so we wouldn't have to go inside an ATT store?
You would have to fill out a transfer of billing responsibility and your friend would have to accept it. If your friend has poor credit or little credit history, a deposit may be required for his account. He would have to choose from a currently offered plan as any grandfathered plans are lost with the transfer.
The transfer can be done through the online account manager - MyATT.
