How do I get credit for a buy one get one free deal?

Back in August 2016 we pre ordered 2 Samsung Galaxy phones with the buy one get one free. However, Samsung recalled these phones due to batteries blowing up. We exchanged the phones for 2 different Samsung phones. I was told at that time that I would still be eligible for the buy one get one free promotion ( not my fault the phones were recalled). I have been trying since last year to get my credit and every time I chat with an agent I get the same answer, " the credit will be on your next bill" yea right. I have all the transcripts and I just want what is due me. I also received a "case number" for my claim and was told that AT&T needs to investigate if I am even eligible for this credit. Well, I am eligible, I want my credit or I will go further with my complaint.

Thanks

Hi there @Karin2tx!

We are happy to see you have taken the time to reach out to us regarding your BOGO promotion. These deals are always great to take advantage of, I am sorry to hear you are still awaiting missing credits. I would like to assist you further!

Please be on the lookout for a private message from me shortly. This way I can gather additional information regarding the BOGO promotion on your account.

I hope to speak soon!

Thank you for your reply. I did not get my credit as of this billing cycle. I will write a letter to the Attorney General, The BBB and At&T. I also will disconnect all the services that I currently have with AT&T (wireless, internet and Direct TV).

@Karin2tx   You gave support one week, which isn't enough time to reprogram the system to provide a credit the system doesn't see as valid.  Thencredits have to be manually added, probably every month.

Support (and you) posted on this forum a week ago.

Did they ever send you a private message?

@Karin2tx You probably need to give them a little time, unless they already came back and rejected you (and if that's the same I'd assume they have a concrete reason.

Call and chat is useless. You need the advanced support team.  Please message them.
