While our multi-line plans do not require living at the same address, they do require that one person is the account owner who has control over the account and is responsible for paying the entirety of the bill. For postpaid plans, the owner will be subject to a credit check for beginning service and for phone upgrades. The owner can add authorized users on the account, but there are certain account activities that can only be done by the owner of the account. If a non-owner wanted to separate from the shared account, they would have to ask permission of the owner to be able to transfer their line to their own responsibility.
In regards to getting numbers for a new plan, you can port in eligible numbers or add new numbers. The owner would be responsible for activating the lines and the bill would be in their name with their address and their payment details. We would not suspend one or two lines if someone did not pay their share – if the entire payment is not made, the entire account would be suspended.
