Does ATT insurance cover accidental water damaged phones or water damaged phones period?
I dropped my phone in the sink while washing dishes. I looked at it and it showed a reddish pinkinsh color on the sticker. I called ATT and made my claim. got my phone a few days later. shipped my damaged phone back and wanted to know if you will still have insurance after you made a water damaged phone claim? I read on places that they do and they don't. oh yea and my phone is an HTC inspire. I am just confused on this.

You have a maximum of two claims within a 12 month period. If that's only your first claim then no worries. That's what your insurance is for. However, insurance is removed from your line after a second insurance claim.

You have to wait 12 months from the 2nd insurance claim before you can add insurance back on the account. It doesn't matter if you upgrade. Then you have a 30 day enrollment period. For example:
March 30, 2011 - first claim
October 1, 2011 - second claim (knock on wood, hopefully you won't need this... illustration purposes only)
You'll have October 1-31, 2012 to re-enroll for the insurance.

ok thanks for clearing that out. One more question to ask though. So after my second claim my insurance will be removed for just that remaining 1st year? and when its the next 12 month cycle will I get my insurance back or no? which would I have to purchase it again?

I too had same issue regarding my phone water damage and my all doubt are cleared except that is it that you cannot claim till Oct 2012?

the policy is actually with Asurion and not with att.

"Claims limit. For example, depending on your carrier, two claims within any consecutive 12 months with a maximum device value of $1500 per occurrence."
there is also a 199.00 deductable charge for each occurrance

Okay so even if the policy is with Asurion you cannot claim till Oct 2012?

guessing you mean Oct 2013, unless you have made 2 claims in the last 12 months then you can make a claim now
