Cannot activate new phone

I just ordered an S7 Edge and need to activate it. I have payed off my old phone from my 2 year contract and when I got this phone I went to att.com/activate and did all of it and logged in. It asks me which phone I want to switch over from. It only let's me pick from the other 3 peoples phones in the account except mine. I can't activate it and I need to. The only way I can activate it is if I put my new phone on there separately. I'm wondering if I do that if I can manually take my old phone off instead of having to pay for two phones extra?

Good afternoon and welcome to the Community Forums! Congratulations on the new phone! Having your new phone ready to go and activated is important so I can see why this is concerning. I will be happy to share some information.

 

On our activation page you should have the option to activate it on your line. When you paid off your phone with a contract did you remove the line? Are you going to use the same SIM card?
