Can't login to AT&T Messages
I recently received an AT&T Trek 2 HD tablet, and I'm having trouble logging in to AT&T messages.
When I login with my account, it states "The user ID and password you entered cannot be used to access this application.". When I try to login to https://messages.att.net/ through a browser, it asks for a new wireless phone number. I put in the one that came with the tablet, and then states "Please enter the validation code that was just sent to your wireless device and select Continue. " My tablet will immediately come out of sleep mode, so I assume it has received the message. I just assume it comes through AT&T Messages.
Is there anything I can do?

ATT messages has to be set up on the phone first. With a user name and password. Once set up, you login to the tablet with same user name and a validation code is sent to the related phone.

The thing is I have no (wireless) phone other than the Trek 2 HD.
