At&t purchase of 2 new 7 plus phones.

We are submitting this request in an effort to obtain a refund for the two 6plus phones we turned in to AT&T to Darius D. Williams at the AT&T store in Pflugerville Texas. On June 3 2017 we visited this store and upgraded our 6plus phones for 7 plus. At the time we completed this purchase we turned our phones into Darius. When we got home we noticed that there was no mention of refund for our old phones. In the later part of June I went back to the store to find out what happened to our refund for the two 6plus. At the store I spoke with Darius questioning our refund. To my surprise Darius told me our refund for these 6plus phones went to paying of the 50.00 that was left on our phones. When I asked why he didn't explain that to us he stated he most of forgot. I then explained to him that this was fraud. The 6 plus phones were valued at $150.00 each. We would have paid off the $50.00 on each phone if we were asked. Mr. Darius stated that he was sorry and that he really should have told us that. He explained that the phones had already been sent out and that there was nothing he go do to make this right. In summary, I have to say that my wife and I really feel that we were taken advantage of. We have been loyal customers of AT&T for years but this type of shady business is making us wonder if we should switch to a different carrier.

In closing,  we are asking for a refund for $200.00 for our 6plus phones.

The sale invoice is 2435TIN7384 dated 03-Jun-2017 05:20 PM

Thanks in advance for your Assistance:

@markfarrow A good salesman would have pointed that out.

But on the other hand a good customer would have known they owed $50 still. You're the one who really cares about saving yourself money, not them.

Sorry that this didn't work out better for you, but it's not shady or being taken advantage of. That's how Next works. When you've reached a certain point in your Next process, you can turn it in and not make the rest of the payments (different plans have different times). Maybe @ATTcares will take care of you! 🙂

  • You could have gotten the phones 4 months ago and and skipped 6 months ago.
  • If you were on Next Every Year, you could have done it 8 months ago.
    (This is me guessing you were on plan where the phone was yours after 24 months, there have been a variety of options out there).

@markfarrow

If you don't pay off $100 % of your Next installment payments, you are required to turn in your phones when you upgrade.   Yes, it would have been nice if you were told.

You are not owed $200 on each phone because you owed ATT for the phones.
