Due to virus issue I’ve re-installed my computer’s system and as a result I lost everything on iTunes, including 400+ songs (most of them were purchased from iTunes). I still have those music on my iphone, but can I transfer the music back to computer from my iphone?

youngim posted some good suggestions.  The important thing to rememeber is that you may only have one attempt at a recovery.  Make sure sure you understand the entire preocess before you begin.

Good luck.

If you bought the items from Apple follow this link on how to recover the purchases

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

As it states at the top of the page

In many countries, you can download your previous purchases directly to an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, Mac, or PC that is associated to your Apple ID.

Re: iphone

You should have made copy of iTunes files to external hard drive or USB jump drive, then you will not have this problem. In case you never know, iTunes files are in by default located in computer's music folder.
