The web page http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB25563#fbid=8EQxkmJ3fl_ is one of the worst examples of documentation I have seen in a while. It purports to explain how to manage your AT&T voicemail service, but neglects to include any details about each key does.

As an example Main Menu > Personal Options > Administrative Options > Date & Time turning this on and off gives you no clue that this controls whether the date and time a VM came in will be played before the message is played.

This page needs a complete rewrite. The graphics are good enough, but there is zero detail about what each option does, what it controls. I spent an hour with three AT&T enterprise customer care representatives today and the best advice they could give me was "make one change, see what it does. make another change see what it does".

the instructions are for how to use it and access, not a tutorial on what it does and what it can do

I too believe a tutorial on what it does is needed. What is the point of showing me an option but not giving me any other information of what that option does? I have been an administrative assistant for over 40 years and I know double talk when I see it. This is a veiled attempt to earn a paycheck without out doing any serious research to give their customers a COMPLETE answer.
