I will be moving back to the US and I am considering signing up with ATT GoPhone so that I can use my current phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus). I will be traveling a lot in Wisconsin and when looking at their coverage map there is a big gaping hole in the southwest part of the state, basically from Black River Falls south to the border, and Lake Delton west to the border. Is there really no ATT coverage in 20% of the state? Can anyone verify this? I'm more concerned with voice calls as opposed to data coverage. If this is true, I'll probably have to replace my phone and go with another carrier.
Re: Voice coverage in southwest Wisconsin - GoPhone
Hello edwardbuck, thanks for posting your question!
A Coverage Map is showing an approximate coverage, but is very close to what you should expect. Unfortunately Go Phone service doesn't share the same roaming coverage as the Post Paid, and the area you described shows as covered via partner network on Post Paid, but not with the Go Phone. You might want to look into a contract free post paid account for your needs.
