Security deposit refund for a single cancelled no-contract line

Hi, I have added a new line into my account for a friend of mine 7 days ago and paid $500 security deposit. His line was without a contract and he brought his own phone to activate the line. However, my friend decided to move onto another carrier and he transferred his number to T-mobile two days ago. Thus, his line in my AT&T account was automatically cancelled.

 

My question is: under this situation, will his part of security deposit (which is $500) be refunded right away (no need to wait for a whole year)? Should I do some request to retrieve the refund or will the refund process be done automatically?

I would recommend that you send a Private Message to Community Support is part of the AT&T customer service team, They may be able to resolve your Issue. You can expect a reply via return PM between the hours of 7am-10pm CST within 2 to 3 business days.
