Roaming Charges

Hi, I have a question on behalf of my sister. She has AT&T and she lives in Puerto Rico. She said that she can't call me or text me because she'll get charged for roaming (She only messages me through Facebook) I asked her if she has signal where she is and she said yes but she'll still get charged because I live in US and that's long distance. Now I have never heard of that. Can someone please confirm that? That just sounds odd to me. I have T-Mobile and I call long distance all the time and I don't get charged for roaming.

Re: Roaming Charges

Welcome to the forum Jhaylin,

Puerto Rico is fully covered by AT&T's own network and any calls made to US will be counted as domestic calls. If she has AT&T and lives within AT&T's network coverage, there should be no long distance charges.

And a more detailed coverage map can be found HERE.

Thanks,

Dmitriy
