IPhone 5 & Wifi

My IPhone 5 is not finding my wifi network. My computer and IPad is finding it, but my phone isn't finding it and the phone is remaining of LTE setting.  Has anyone had thi problem? I don't want to use up my data.

Thanks.

did you go into the settings and have it scan for your wifi? Another issue maybe that the SSID for your wifi is hidden for security purposes and you have to manually set it up

I have noticed mine was a little slow in finding some new networks. I reset my network settings and it helped.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

You will need to re-connect to any networks you had previously signed into but this process can clear some things out.

Good Luck!

What wingrider said; you may also want to consider executng a Reset Network Settings on your iPhone (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings) to see if doing so allows your phone to "see" your wifi network, assuming that it is not "hidden"...although if you know the name of your wifi network, then the fact that it may be hidden is not an absolute showstopper in preventing your phone from connecting to your wifi network.

Hopefully the above is the worse you'll have to do in order for your phone to see your wifi network, since the one thing you'd probably not prefer to have to do is restore from a previous backup.

Re: IPhone 5 & Wifi

If you haven't restarted you iPhoen for a while, you might want to do that first.  Just hold down the home and the Wake/Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.  It should take about 10-15 seconds.  I have foudn that doing this about once a week helps resolve a number of little issues...

Re: IPhone 5 & Wifi

Does your router have MAC address block on? If so, and you're phones MAC address isn't entered you will never see the network.
