Basic/quick messaging phone plans with Nokia Lumia 520
Edited by dawpa2000 on Nov 29, 2013 at 8:28:56 PM

Can I use basic/quick messaging phone plans with Nokia Lumia 520 (no contract)?

Specifically, can I use the "$2/day only on days used" plan?

GoPhone plans:

Nokia Lumia 520 No Contract for AT&T:

You know, that is actually a great question that never really crossed my mind. I will say this:

If you plan on activating the SIM for the phone yourself, you might be able to select the $2 per day plan and "get away" with using it. Keep in mind that you will not be able to use data services with this plan. You will be restricted to Wi-Fi usage only.

If not activating the phone yourself, you might run into an issue. Since this plan is specifically intended for basic non-smartphones, AT&T might say that this plan is incompatible with your Lumia 520 smartphone and that you must select a different plan. In essence, I guess it's a 50/50 shot.

Good luck!
