ATT Next...terrible for smart phones...great for tablets?!

I'm just wondering...with school coming up I'm thinking about getting a tablet for the first time. But....I'm not sure if I want to spend $500 all at once. So I was thinking that ATT Next would work great for getting a tablet. But do you need a seperate data plan for a NEXT tablet? Just wondering..thanks!

you have mobile share, you can add the tablet as a device on the Mobile share plan, it will have a 2 year agreement on it just like a phone, I seem to remember that a tablet on mobile share is 10.00 a month

Re: ATT Next...terrible for smart phones...great for tablets?!

Then I'm wondering if it's cheaper to buy an iPad considering I would get $100 off. Or buy a it out right. I'll need a data connection anyways. Some complicated plans.
