whats goin on

I recently purchased a nokia 2320 gophone because I broke my iphone and instead of paying  200 dollars i decided to wait a month for my upgrade.

Well these are my questions and if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it

1)On the screen of my phone there was an arrow next to the battery indicating call forwarding and I am certain I never activitated this feature. Why was the arrow there?

2) I have AIM accessed on my phone and i never set it up?

these are my two main issuses but im pretty sure ill have more.

                                                   thanks

If you bought a refurb model, I suppose it's possible that at&t didn't do a good job of resetting the phone to "like new" condition prior to sending it out to a new owner. (?)
