unable to change I tunes password to upgrade apps or add new apps

My e-mail address changed so I changed my I tunes information to my new e-mail  but when I go to upgrade my apps or get new apps, my old sign on still shows up.  My apple ID shows  my new e-mail/sign on but not when I try to upgrade. etc.
