texting alert on unlimited texting plan

I just signed up for att at best buy and got the family plan and unlimited texting and just received an alert on one of the phones that they have gone over! There is no one available to call and I've been trying for the last half hour to find an email address for att customer service but it keeps redirecting me and I cant get to any page that will allow me to email customer service.  

 

does anyone have an actual email address for customer support?  Switched from sprint because of horrible network problems but there was always someone available to talk to.  This is not a good start.

They do not have an email address.  Call tomorrow morning.  What has probably happened is that your voice calls are prorated the first month.  In this case, you probably have a few days before your actual billing cycle starts so they prorated your call package. ie. if your have a 700 minute plan, they took 700/30=23 minutes per day.  If you have 5 days until your billing cycle starts over, they 5*23=115 minutes.  This is probably what you went over by.  

 

Call in the morning and see what they can do.  The number is below.  and remember while any other carrier would also start you off like this.  As for 24 hour customer care, I am not sure what other carriers do for comparison purposes.

One other thought is that is you sign up for the online account management found in the "MY ACCOUNT" in the orange bar above, you can do a live chat with a rep during business hours.  Once you sign up, you will find the link to chat on the support page on the lower right.

Thank you for the info, the alert I received wasn't for calls but for texts and I signed up for the unlimited texting on the account so I don't know how that's possible.  I did sign up for the account management but my account isn't showing up yet.  I will call in the morning.  Thanks again.

If it is with the texting and you do get charged, they should be able to fix your bill after they have your first one to credit.  Definately call.
