When I get through the set up it tells me that it has not received a verification code. It then tells me to check my account that VVM is active (it is) and to check my network connection (I did with Tech support and it works). Then it tells me to call my VM again. I do and still nothing. That is all it says.

Can you give us a bit more detail?
Were you able to go through the set up process? Where do you get an error/where does it fail?

Not trying to insult you but there are two types of VVM available on google play. I tried to explain that to tech support this weekend and they were not understanding.
First is AT&T Messages....
The second is AT&T Visual Voicemail, this is the one I like and want to use on my phone.......
The AT&T Visual Voicemail app will not work on Note, at least no one can tell me how. Any ideas??

I've created a new thread for your issue. Please note, the post you commented on was about Visual Voicemail, not AT&T Messages. Are you also having an issue with Messages?
I'm not sure why you're not able to activate the voicemail but I'm sure we can figure out what's going on. Will you please send me a private message with your name, account number, phone number and the best time to contact you?
To send a private message, you can either click on the link in this message or click on the little blue envelope in the upper right hand corner, click "compose new message" and type my username in the "Send To" field.
