I have a no text message plan, and when I got my previously used phone number, text messages and calls from bill collectors rushed in. So in the end I have text messages disabled on my phone (only receives the free ones from ATT such as bill available, paid, etc) because I will be charged for all these text messages that are from your previous customer.
But the messaing was recently reenabled, and again text messages come in.
The only contact I have with the ATT is when I disabled this feature, the ATT billpay app to pay the bill and now this forum. I called billing suport to look into this and to get it re-disabled, they say I logged in and removed the blocking.
